♥ queen's celebration
today is not the queen's birthday but we celebrated it in advance.. called hy in the morning to pressurise her (as if she's not in the first place) about what to get the queen as we are going to her ball.. not very nice to go there empty handed.. so i left home early, in search of the perfect gift.. yet, i the time estimated was a bit off.. i was late.. i think i wouldnt be if it wasnt because of the long queue at singtel hello shop as i purchase hi card for my mother..
went to body shop and browse through the things queen-sama showed me the other day.. found the eye moisturizers.. 2 different bottles at different price, with a 10 dollars difference.. i was so tempted to buy the cheapest.. but since it is not for myself, i should get what i think her majesty wants.. and therefore the most expensive.. went to times and found freakonomics.. the urge to buy came.. but i couldnt contact hy.. and so.. nahh.. otherwise we might have 2 books.. which was kinda alright, as later on, sm wants to share the presents..
first stop before we reached the castle was the cinema.. accuracy of death.. i always wanted to watch it.. i really do.. not that i am interested in shirigami or bleach.. i love the movie even more after i had watched it.. great! (my limited vocab) they were not slow for me, just the right pace, nor were they draggy.. that's my opinion.. boring? i did yawn a few times.. but it's not the movie.. i am tired to start my day to begin with.. as hy join the group, we headed to the palace.. this is the hall where we had our ball..

the fishes in stick and unagi bento are wen wen and yh's.. the couple whom has to share everything..
and today, i witness simpson's paradox that i learnt in statistics.. the data look different when they are grouped together and separated into individuals.. the total cost of our meal doesnt add up to the total amount of money we paid.. but i know i did pay.. though i always ask for treats but i dont really mean it.. i purposely walked to the atm today to ensure i have enough to pay for my stuff (though i took out 2 days worth salary which i havent even get) so.. that's all it matters to me.. yet it is unfair to sm whom lost 10 bucks.. so we forked out a dollar each.. weird.. =s
after the party, we left the hall.. they headed for the next destination to start another "celebration".. yet, the clock had stroke 12 for me.. i had to leave though i am not the one with work tomorrow..
yet, part of me is quite glad that i left.. what do you get when you put chemistry majors together? they talked about their lecturers, TAs, lab moments and their chemistry modules.. conveniently left out.. but it's alright.. i quite used to it.. still, for me to feel glad would mean i am still not that alright? oh well.. i am not part of the clique to begin with..
